Caroline Zaba

Physiotherapist
Injury Management Specialist

I am a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapist and Case Manager with over 18 years of experience supporting individuals through complex injury, recovery, and rehabilitation. With a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy and a career spanning hands-on therapy, case management, and occupational rehabilitation, I bring energy, empathy, and a collaborative approach to every interaction.

My work has focused on helping people reclaim function, purpose, and wellbeing following injury or illness. I have deep experience across a wide range of jurisdictions and industries, including extensive work with first responders, military personnel, veterans, and clients from diverse cultural and psychosocial backgrounds. I have supported clients under schemes such as the Australian Defence Force, Department of Veterans’ Affairs, WA Police Force, St John Ambulance, and insurance providers including WorkCover, ICWA, and Life/Income Protection.

Skilled in managing complex physical and psychological injuries, I provide end-to-end case management—from initial assessments and biopsychosocial screenings to the development of SMART goals, rehabilitation plans, and workplace and vocational assessments. I prioritise rapport, trust, and effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure evidence-based, durable outcomes tailored to each client’s needs.

My work includes managing clients with PTSD, chronic pain, traumatic brain injuries, substance dependence, and complex trauma. I apply a trauma-informed, client-centred lens to every case, drawing on specialised training in motivational interviewing and PGAP to foster resilience, motivation, and positive progress.

As an on-base rehabilitation consultant for the ADF, I led coordination between medical teams, unit welfare boards, and individuals, creating practical safety and wellness plans. Whether mentoring colleagues, guiding rehabilitation teams, or working one-on-one with clients, I am driven by the belief that with the right support, people can move through adversity and rediscover health, confidence, and purpose.
